Areas Covered in Prayer for the Pastor

The Word of God informs us of how vital the Pastors roll is to the body of Christ.

Mark 14:27 I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

1.  Prayer for the Pastor's God given vision.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 And the LORD answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: through it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

2.  Prayer for the Pastor's prayer life.

2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

3.  Prayer for the Pastor's Marriage.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the Church, and gave Himself for it.

4. Prayer for God's divine favor.

Genesis 6:8 (ESV) But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

5. Prayer for Morality.

1 Timothy 3:7-9 (AMP) Furthermore, he must have a good reputation and be well thought of by those outside {the Church}, lest he become involved in slander and incur reproach and fall into the devils trap. In like manner the deacons {must be} worthy of respect, not shifty and double-talkers but sincere in what they say, not given to much wine, not greedy for base gain {craving wealth and resorting to ignoble and dishonest methods of getting it}. They must possess the mystic secret of the faith {Christian truth as hidden from ungodly men} with a clear conscience.

6. Prayer for the Anointing.

Isaiah 10:27 ...The yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

7. Prayer for Soul Wounds to be healed.

Psalm 55:18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me.

Psalm 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

8. Prayer for Humility.

Psalm 138:6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

9. Prayer for Wisdom and Clarity of God's Word.

Ephesians 1:17-18 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and knowledge and revelation in the knowledge of Him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of His calling, and what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.

10.  Prayer for Health

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

11.  Prayer for Fat Loss

Hebrews 12:1 ...Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

12.  Prayer for ability to bring Heaven to earth.

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven.
