I want you to consider the importance of detoxification. There is a need to go through a physical detox. However, a more important step will be a spiritual detoxification.
To change your old, toxic thoughts, you need to go through a  “spiritual detox.” This consists of studying Scripture, verse memorization, and prayer. Spiritual detoxification is similar to physical detoxification in principle. Both cleanse the system of impurities and toxins with the purpose of developing a healthy lifestyle.

We begin this “spiritual detox” with a 21-Day Jump Start. During your first twenty-one days you will build a strong physical and spiritual foundation and will develop newly formed habits that should continue throughout your walk with God.

Here’s how the 21-Day “spiritual detox” program works. First, make a daily appointment with God. Set a specific time to meet with Him every day for twenty-one days. During your appointments with God:

• Spend a minimum of 15 minutes daily studying the Word and committing to memory the Scriptures written below.

• Memorize one Scripture passage every two days. (Ten memory verses are identified later in this chapter). Write them in a journal or on three-by- five cards to use as flash cards. (Be sure to quote the chapter and verse.) On the twenty-first day, you will review the ten verses you have memorized.

• Read the 10 memorization Scriptures and get an understanding of how they pertain to you regarding your successful transformation and fat loss.

• During your prayer time, be sure to pray the Scriptures that pertain to your current struggles.

Committing the Scripture to memory and studying it will be preparation for your future tests. As adverse situations arise, your responsibility is to use the memory Scriptures and trust God during those times. The core of your success is His Word. For example: if you wake-up and feel depressed, spiritually weak, and have a desire to eat food for comfort — you can no longer respond the way you once did. Remember, your old thought process is considered toxic. Your new thought process must be the Word of God, which are your memorization Scriptures. In this example, you would use an encouragement Scripture, a comfort Scripture, or both.

In Luke 4:4, we read about Jesus responding to a time of testing. He was extremely hungry after fasting for forty days, and the adversary suggested He turn the stones into bread. Jesus quoted Deuteronomy 8:3, saying that “man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” God’s Word was our Savior’s foundation, and quoting it from memory is how He achieved victory.

Of course, this all makes sense. And, I know you have a healthier life ahead of you. It just takes a choice on your part to find yourself amid all the lies told by the world. So much happiness can be found by putting these God given principles into action. Please visit the products page and specifically look for the Faith & Fat Loss Book.
