Eating to Lose
One of the most confusing and misleading principles to long-term fat loss is the principle of thermodynamics: energy-in and energy-out or calorie-in and calorie-out. Thermodynamics is a well known scientific principle and it works in the mechanical world, just not in the human body for long-term fat loss. The human body is the most complex and well-designed organism found on earth, which responds to the higher principle of survival. Our many survival mechanisms make the principle of calorie-in and calorie-out completely impossible for permanent fat loss.
Most fat loss programs encourage the principle of thermodynamics by instructing you to decrease calories to lose body fat. An example would be to decrease daily caloric intake by 500, which would equate to 1 pound of weight lost per week. If thermodynamics was effective in the body this would simply be a mathematical equation and everybody who lowered their calories would have the body they desired. The problem with trying to use the law of thermodynamics in the body is that you will slow your metabolism, creating even more fat gain in the future.
Body fat is primarily controlled by the metabolism, which has the ability to go up or down according to the signals received. It is mandatory to send the appropriate signals required by the body to obtain long-term fat loss. Your metabolism is like a fire and when it is fueled appropriately it will burn hotter. The fuel that is used for that fire is food. In the Faith & Fat Loss Program, we will teach you survival dynamics rather than thermodynamics and you will be given the necessary tools to create a metabolism that is like an inferno so the body can more efficiently burn the excess body fat.
